This classic and iconic kettle is designed by the American architect and designer, Michael Graves and produced by Alessi. One of a series of peices for Alessi including teapots, dishawashers and microwaves. First produced in 1985, this kettle is an international best seller with the highly personal and recognisable style.
Magnetic and polished to a high finish, the polymide fittings allow quick heat infusion to the water. The other half of this renound "Kettle with a bird" idea is the bird shaped whistle on the spout which really works.

You're going to want to take this kettle out with you so you can show off! This is one cool kettle - literally! Insulated with a special plastic material, the heat from the water remains inside the kettle so the surface won't burn you. Clever features include boil dry protection and a lid that not only is operated by a push button but also incorporates a safety sensor which only allows the kettle to be activated when the lid is fully closed.

Early models did have some issues but the updated Mark 2 TW911P2 version has looks to have countered these and Siemens offers a 2 year guarantee. With a designer like F. A.
