A funky stainless steel kettle, the Rowenta Prelude Illumination Kettle ( Model BV500 ) is a neat cordless jug design in stainless steel with a slight brushed effect. Clever features include a button operated lid opener which will pivot the lid allowing easy filling. However the main standout feature is the ability to light up inside the kettle giving a pleasant green glow visible through the 2 large windows on each side.

A sleek black design, this Bosch TWK6733GB kettle in black is part of the private collection, a range of appliances Bosch manufacture. Not a massive capacity but with a powerful element, this design is suggested as being one of the quicker fast boil kettles available. The extra bonus is the inclusion of a Brita water filter to reduce limescale and also produce boiling water with fewer impurities.
