A funky stainless steel kettle, the Rowenta Prelude Illumination Kettle ( Model BV500 ) is a neat cordless jug design in stainless steel with a slight brushed effect. Clever features include a button operated lid opener which will pivot the lid allowing easy filling. However the main standout feature is the ability to light up inside the kettle giving a pleasant green glow visible through the 2 large windows on each side.

This classic and iconic kettle is designed by the American architect and designer, Michael Graves and produced by Alessi. One of a series of peices for Alessi including teapots, dishawashers and microwaves. First produced in 1985, this kettle is an international best seller with the highly personal and recognisable style.

This quirky design is the Breville VKJ176, a brushed steel jug kettle that looks like it is leaning forwards slightly at all times. It has been noted that this kettle isn't the quietest but with its powerful element, it does boil quickly.

Heat resistant handles on the lid and kettle itself keeps the heat inside the kettle and away from your fingers and is weighted well for filling and pouring.

With a large water gauge and in built limescale filter, this design not only looks good in any kitchen but the high finish gives other kettles a run for their money.
